U-14's Crowned League Champions   08/04/2015

U-14 Coley Smyth Premier Division
Mervue Utd 3-0 Oughterard

The club's U-14's retained the Coley Smyth Premier Division League title on Tuesday evening following a 3-0 win over Oughterard FC at Fahy's Field in the lovely sunshine.

Goals from Matthew Cooley, Andjrean Adeeko and a Colin Kelly penalty secured the important three points which are enough to see them claim the league title with still three games remaining.

The win puts them ten points clear of second place Maree/Oranmore, who drew 2-2 away to Athenry on Tuesday evening, and with only three games remaining the title has been secured for Coley Kelly and Pa O'Connell's young squad. They also remain unbeaten all season in both league and cup competitions.

Well done to Coley Kelly and Pa O'Connell and their squad who are off to Leeds on Thursday for three friendly's with Leeds Utd, Doncaster Rovers and York City academies over the next three days.

They can now enjoy the trip to the UK as league champions and look forward to a Connacht Cup final in Sligo next month and their big SFAI cup semi final game on their return. Well done lads and enjoy your trip.
