Aaron Connolly Named in Irish U-15 Squad
13/01/2015
REPUBLIC of Ireland U-15 Head Coach Colin OâBrien has named his squad for two friendly international matches against Scotland in Kerry later this month and has once again included Mervue Utd player, Aaron Connolly, in his latest squad.
Ireland will host the Scots at Killarney Celtic FCâs Celtic Park on Friday, January 23 (7.00pm) then the sides meet again on Sunday, January 25 (12.00pm), at Listowel Celticâs Tanavalla ground.
Ireland played Poland in two testing fixtures in November and OâBrien will be looking for his side to grow their international experience in these fixtures against the Scots.
âThese games will give us a chance to have a look at a few different players to those who played in Poland and we try to look at as many players as we can over a season,â said OâBrien.
âThe Poland games were good tests and weâll be looking for the players to continue working on the attacking and defending principles of how we play in these fixtures.
âScotland will provide decent opposition and it will be a good test for the squad to play in front of a home crowd for the first time in an international game.â
