The local Galway District Junior Leagues returned to action this weekend as the new season kicks off with both club Junior sides in action in the coming week. 

The Junior A team will kick off the defence of their Premier League title with a tough home game against city rivals and last season’s runners up Galway Hibs next Wednesday (27th August) evening at Fahy's Field with kick-off at 7 pm. Gary O’Connor and Ger McGrath’s squad will be looking to capture a fifth Premier League title in a row for the club in the coming season having won the last four local titles.

The Junior B team will get the club’s new season under way when they host Maree/Oranmore on Sunday morning at 11 am at Fahy’s Field in their opening game of the First Division. The team is under the new management of Mike Shaughnessy (manager) and Shane Hunter (Coach) and they will be eager to get off to a winning start at home on Sunday morning.
