Hibs\Foyle 2-2 Mervue Utd (U17 Premier Division)

Goals from Andrew Connolly and Padraig Cunningham were enough to claim the point needed to capture the League title in Bohermore on Wednesday evening as the U17's completed the League and cup double and cup number 15 of an incredibly successful season for the club.

Connolly had Mervue in front in the first half but the hosts levelled matters before the break to leave it 1-1 at the interval.

Padraig Cunningham, who scored twice in Tuesday nights 3-1 win, put Mervue back in front with 20 minutes remaining but Hibs/Foyle equalised almost immediately.

With the home side needing to win to force a league playoff they forced some late pressure but Paul Moynihan and Ollie Neary's side defended well to ensure a 2-2 draw and the point needed to capture the league title and complete the double for the season.
