U17's Move Closer to League Title

Mervue Utd A 3-1 Hibs/Foyle (U17 Premier Division)
The club's Under 17 team came from a goal down at half time to run out 3-1 winners over Hibs/Foyle at Fahy's Field on Tuesday evening.
Padraig Cunningham scored twice from Andrew Connolly balls before Chris Carroll made it 3-1 with a late strike which moves the U17 side to within a point of the league title.
Cunningham headed home a brilliant corner kick delivery from Andrew Connolly early in the second half to level matters at 1-1.
Connolly was the provided again as he pulled the ball back for Cunningham to finish for 2-1 and put the home side in front with 15 minutes remaining.
Chris Carroll made sure of all three points with a good finish from inside the box following a good passing move from the home side as he made it 3-1 late on.
Paul Moynihan and Ollie Neary's side play Hibs/Foyle again in their final game on Wednesday evening in Bohermore were a win or a draw will claim a 15th cup of the season for the club. Kick-off is at 6 p.m. in Bohermore.
