Mervue Utd A 3-0 Salthill Devon B

The club's Under 17 A side captured the GFA Cup as they ran out 3-0 winners over a gallant Salthill Devon B side in Eamon Deacy Park on Tuesday night.

Paul Moynihan and Ollie Neary's side lead 1-0 at the break after a John Miguel free-kick proved to be the only score of the opening period.

They added two more after the break as Andrew Connolly and Padraic Cunningham trebled that lead to ensure a Mervue win.

Winger Joe Hynes created both as his run and cross was finished to the net by Connolly at the near post for 2-0.

Another Hynes cross was headed back by Connolly into the path of Cunningham who finished for 3-0.

After the game Galway FA chairman Joe Keating presented the cup to Mervue Utd captain Paul Healy.
