Westport Utd 1-0 Mervue Utd (Connacht Junior Cup Semi-Final)

The club's Junior team suffered heartbreak in the Connacht Junior Cup semi-final as the home side were awarded a controversial penalty in the final minute of the second period of extra time to effectively win the game and advance to the provincial final.

Having been the better side for long periods of the game they failed to take the numerous good chances that came their way and ultimately paid the price as Westport were handed that late penalty decision.
