Cois Fharraige 1-2 Mervue Utd B (Second Division)
Martin Higgins Junior B team moved ten points clear at the top of the Second Division table after a hard earned 2-1 away win over Cois Fharraige in Carraroe on Sunday morning.
The in form Dermot Warde gave Mervue a 1-0 lead in the opening half but the home side levelled matters just before the break.
Not to be denied another vital win and more importantly a valuable three points, Emlyn Coyne provided the finish to restore Mervue's lead for what turned out to be the winning score.
Higgins side only need one more win in their final three games to claim the the Second Division title, so if they can defeat neighbours Renmore next weekend the celebrations can begin.
