Maree/Oranmore/ 0-7 Mervue Utd (GFA Cup Semi-Final)

The club's youth side eased into the GFA Cup final as they comfortably saw off Maree/Oranmore in the semi final at a very windy and cold Oranmore pitch on Monday afternoon.

Two goals inside the opening nine minutes had them in control from the outset as Padraic Cunningham headed home a Dillon Murphy free-kick on seven minutes and two minutes later Cunningham's run set up Murphy as he finished at the near post for 2-0.

Cunningham doubled his tally with a neat back heeled goal on 26 minutes while Matty Flynn finished Aaron McDonagh's corner to the net on 41 minutes for 4-0.

Richie Fahy finished well on 52 minutes to make it 5-0 and Aaron McDonagh and sub James Nolan added further second half strikes as they ran out comfortable 7-0 winners.
