Mervue Utd v St Kevins Boys - U17 FAI Umbro Cup Semi-Final

It is another big weekend ahead for the club's under 17 team as they host Dublin side and current title holders, St Kevins Boys, in the semi-final of the U17 FAI Umbro Cup at Fahy's Field this evening (Saturday) with kick-off at 6.30 p.m.

Paul Moynihan and Ollie Neary's young side will be hoping they can become the club's first side since 2010 to reach a national final. They will go into the game on the back of an impressive 5-1 win over Limerick side, Fairview Rangers, in the quarter final.

They will look to the inform pairing of Ryan Manning and Padraig Cunningham to secure the goals that will be necessary in what will be a tough encounter on Saturday evening.

The holders Kevins Boys had a similiar impressive win in their quarter final tie as they recorded a 5-0 away win over Newtown Utd and had defeated Kilkenny side Evergreen 3-2 in the previous round also away from home.
