Airtricity First Division Licence Awarded   15/02/2012

Mervue United Football Club have been awarded an Airtricity First Division Licence by the Independent Club Licensing Committee of the Football Association of Ireland.

The licence confirms the club's place in the 2012 FAI Airtricity League First Division. Johnny Glynn's side will kick off their 2012 campaign with a home game against Longford Town on Friday 2nd March at Fahy's Field (kick-off 7.45 p.m.)

The squad continue their pre-season preparations this Friday night with another friendly game against Premier Division Shelbourne at Whitehall with kick-off at 7.45 p.m.

Cobh Ramblers and Tralee Dynamos were unsuccessful in their application for a First Division licence. Clubs have five working days from the date of the decision notice to lodge an appeal.
