Stephen has played the last two seasons in the Premier Division with Galway Utd having joined from local side Galway Hibernians. One of Johnny Glynn's new signings for the 2012 campaign who can play in midfield or defence. Missed the opening game against Longford Town through suspension carried over from last season with Galway Utd and made his club debut in the 4-3 loss away to Finn Harps in Finn Park. He made 24 appearances in 2012 scoring once in the 2-0 win over Athlone Town in July at Fahy's Field. Made a further 25 appearances in 2013 scoring seven times as he played more as striker.
