Mike is a big centre half who has come through the underage structure at the club having won and captained many juvenile club teams to league and cup titles. He made his LOI debut in the 2010 season making 11 appearances and he made a further 10 last season. Mike was appointed captain this season and has led by example with some excellent displays including the FAI Ford Cup man of the match award against city rivals SD Galway in May. Mike has made 42 appearances for the club and like his centre half partner, Martin Conneely, has yet to register a goal in the Airtricity League, something he also hopes to rectify before the season in completed.
