A Night For
Alex
The Friends of Alex are organising "A Night for
Alex"on Saturday 20th August at the Clayton Hotel.
Alex Lee, a 26 year old from Renmore, sustained a serious
leg injury in March of this year while playing soccer in a Connacht Junior Cup
match for his club, Mervue United. He is currently beginning his road to
recovery and each week he makes progress.
Alex’s
soccer club, Mervue Utd and his wide circle of friends are organising “A Night
for Alex” to help raise some funds to help Alex and his family with the
extraordinary costs that have been created by this unfortunate event.
The “Friends
of Alex” have decided to hold “A Night for Alex” with this in mind. Although in
the early stages of planning at present, events on the night will include live
music, a raffle and an auction.
The event will take place on Saturday 20th
August in the Clayton Hotel with music by Love-Shack and a special guest
appearance from Oddity and other guests on the night.
More details on the event
will follow in the coming weeks and information on the event can be found on
the Facebook page “A Night for Alex” and the twitter account @ANightForAlex. The organising committee, The Friends of Alex, would ask all supporters of the
event to please like and share the facebook page and follow the twitter account
to promote the night.
