U-16 Connacht Cup Final
A big weekend for the Mervue Utd U-16 squad as they bid
to be crowned provincial champions as they face Castlebar Celtic in the
Connacht Cup final to be played at Shiven Rovers grounds in Newbridge on Saturday afternoon, kick-off at 2.30 pm.
Damien Brennan and Seamie
Rabbitte’s side will be hoping to capture the title last won by the club in
2013. They have had a very good season to date sitting second in the Premier
Division behind leaders Salthill Devon with two games in hand to force a play-off for
the league title. They were also very unlucky losing out 1-0 to Dublin side
Belvedere in the quarter final of the SFAI national Cup back in March.
All
support in Newbridge on Saturday afternoon would be appreciated by the club for the
management and players.
