Etanda signed for the club in last July's transfer window from city rivals Salthill Devon and made 11 appearances before the end of last season. An exciting pacy winger, the Frenchman scored a cracking goal in the pre-season 2-1 friendly win over Premier Division Drogheda Utd and Mervue fans will be hoping he can contriibute a few more goals like that in the 2012 season. Scored his first league goal for the club in the 4-3 defeat against Finn Harps in March in Finn Park.
