Mervue Utd 2-0 Renmore (Second Division)

Martin Higgins Junior B team began their new Second Division campaign with a good 2-0 win over neighbours, Renmore, last Sunday morning at Fahy's Field.

Goals from defender Mark Conneely and midfielder Glen McSweeney secured the winning start to the campaign as both David O'Boyle and Mark Boyle returned to the club with impressive displays.

They are in action again on Thursday evening with an away trip to Loughrea (kick-off 6.45 p.m.), while they host Corrib Rangers B at Fahy's Field on Sunday morning with kick-off at 11 a.m. as they play a third league game in the opening week of the new local season.
