All games local games under the jurisdiction of the Galway District League FA have been postponed this weekend as a mark of respect to the late great Eamon"Chick" Deacy RIP who sadly passed away on Monday.

All fixed Connacht and Irish Cup games will go ahead as normal.

Everyone at Mervue Utd was saddened to learn of the untimely passing of one of Galway's true Soccer legends Eamon "Chick" Deacy. One of the true gentlemen of the Sport.

Deepest sympathies are extended to his wife Mary and kids and his extended family and friends. RIP Chick you will be sadly missed, Galway has lost a true legend.
