Mervue Utd host city rivals Salthill Devon in the third Galway derby game of the season in the Airtricity First Division on Saturday evening at Fahy's Field with an earlier kick-off time of 5 p.m. 

Johnny Glynn's squad will be eager to return to winning ways following successive away defeats to Wexford Youths and Athlone Town and will be keen to secure the city bragging rights on Saturday evening.

In the two city derby's this season Mervue do hold the upper hand following a 2-1 win courtesy of Ryan Manning and Tom King goals at Fahy's Field back in March, while a James Keane inspired goalkeeping performance in the reverse fixture at Drom in early May ensured a scoreless draw on that occasion.

Glynn will now be without defenders Martin Conneely and Stephen Walsh for the derby game as both serve suspensions, while captain Tom King and Barry O'Mahoney are both in Russia representing Ireland with the Irish Universities team at the World University Games in Kazan.

Glynn on Friday's game "Like all city derby games to date we can expect another tough, close affair with our neighbours Salthill Devon who come into the game in good form so it is another tough challenge but the lads are very much looking forward to the game."
