Alex joined from neighbours Renmore and was part of the A Championship side which got the club into the LOI and has made 72 appearances over the past four seasons scoring three times, two of them came last year, one in the league cup against Derry City and the winner against Finn Harps in the final game of last season. He has also captained the side when Martin Conneely was out injured. Stands fourth in the number of LOI appearances for the club with 72 and is currently only behind Kevin Crehan (76), Rory Gaffney (77) and Marc Ludden (79).
