The club's Junior A team will kick off the defence of their Premier League title with a tough home game against city rivals and last seasonâs runners up Galway Hibs this evening (Wednesday) at Fahy's Field with kick-off at 7 pm.
Gary OâConnor and Ger McGrathâs squad will be looking to capture a fifth Premier League title in a row for the club in the coming season having won the last four local Premier Division titles.
They face a tough opener against last season's runners up as games between the two city rivals have always been close and competitive affairs with another good game on the cards this evening.
