Mervue Utd have been drawn away to Longford Town in second round of the 2014 EA Sports Cup,with the game to be played on either 5th/6th May

Holders Shamrock Rovers, who received a bye in the First Round, have been drawn away to Drogheda United in what is a repeat of the 2012 and 2013 EA SPORTS Cup Finals.  Drogheda won the 2012 encounter 3-1 while the Hoops won 2-0 in the 2013 final.

Like the First Round, the Second Round is broken into four regional pools but the eight teams who qualify from this round for the quarter-finals will find themselves in an open draw at that stage.

Second Round matches will take place on Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6 with dates and kick-off times to be confirmed later.

Pool 1: Wexford Youths v Cobh Ramblers, Cork City v Waterford United.

Pool 2: Sligo Rovers v Derry City, Galway v Finn Harps.

Pool 3: Bray Wanderers v Dundalk, Drogheda United v Shamrock Rovers.

Pool 4: Bohemians v St Patrick’s Athletic, Longford Town v Mervue United.
