Evergreen FC 1-3 Mervue Utd (FAI Cup Last Sixteen)
The clubâs Under 17 team qualified for the quarter finals of the FAI Cup following a 3-1 extra time win in Kilkenny against Evergreen FC on Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening half Andrew Connolly fired Mervue into the lead but the home side level matters with 18 minutes remaining to send the game into extra time.
Mervue dominated the extra time period and a second from Andrew Connolly and another from Jamie Kelly ensured Noel McDonnell and Colin Conneely's side advanced to the last eight.
